This low intensity area spawns mostly Rookie level MiGs and Jaguars in 1 ship formations, but sometimes it spawns Veteran level pilots with both a higher skill level and more advanced weapons.

The art is so good! I love the way that they simplify the cockpits to get all the necessary instruments on screen, but still capture the character of each one.

You will get one ally that lazily hangs around the airfield. She won't actively seek out enemies, but will ruthlessly and efficiently exterminate them if led back or they wander near.

The usual methods of real world terrain + some (a lot of) decimate doesn't really work because with few polys, it just looks like noise and you lose the recognizable structures.

The game does notably have a lot of issues with Z-ordering so maybe that was part of it?

Something I noticed about wings in A-10 Attack and Cuba is that they use flat planes to save polys. Except, they don't really LOOK flat. A small arc in the wing makes it look like it has volume. Very simple, but effective trick.
