@StephanieHilde6 @Mat_at_Brookes @nikkigamble @Jo_Bowers @debbiet99313391 Only one is a picturebook but all very good.
There are loads of great reasons for encouraging kids to read graphic novels but one of the key ones is that they help build a classroom reading community quicker than pretty much any other type of book. They're perfect for sharing, discussing and having a good old chat about.
The #SummerReadingChallenge begins on Saturday 10th July. The Year 5 Reading Champions at @moorlandsbelton have already been thinking about how to promote it in the school, recording videos and making posters. Well worth getting involved. #WildWorldHeroes https://t.co/n62lfwoB3p
According to my class, I need to finish reading them The Outlaw Varjak Paw and then squeeze in The Soup Movement, Crater Lake: Evolution and The Shark Caller before the end of term. That's the kind of challenge I like.

Small Things is wonderfully done, has even more impact when you learn about the struggles of the author. Virginia Wolf is subtle and opens up a lot of discussion. #SundayMorningBookBlether
@Mat_at_Brookes @one_to_read @RuddickRichard @rcharlesworth @RebeccaLucas Just thinking about front covers of some of the more popular books/series, the cartoon 'team' aspect makes a lot of sense.
@MissNCleveland @OpenUni_RfP @ArticuLaight @TeresaCremin A wonderful fictionalised biography telling the true story of explorer Matthew Henson. So many opportunities to talk about travel, exploration and equality. @catwrote is a genius. #OURfPBookBlether
@Teacherglitter @OpenUni_RfP @_Reading_Rocks_ @KSunray3 @TeresaCremin @primaryteachew @VIPreading Love these too. Both absolutely beautiful.
