Retrogaming of the 8 and 16 bit variety. That's my jam. 😎

Oh, Defender of the Crown was so so pretty. To this day I still prefer the C64 version over the Amiga one. 🤔 Though I admit the Amiga one's graphics were amazing.. it's something about the combo of gfx+sound+gameplay in the C64 one that grabs me more. 👍

Yeah. It's funny how many 8-bit titles got away with being absurdly cruelly hard, and yet we put up with it. (But, being young, and getting only a game or two a month, it was probably good that we couldn't complete it in a day.) 😁

But in Target Renegade, the gameplay could be *so* cruel at times. Even just on level 2, that pimp, with the gun. That was just a stupidly-hard character for an early level like that. The game was great fun in almost every way.. IMHO, it just needed to be a tad easier. 😎👍

Oh man! So many cool games in their catalogue they could remake. 🤔 If I were running the place it would be easy for me: Team 1, you're on Airborne Ranger 2020. Team 2, Red Storm Rising: The Second Rising. Team 3, XCom: re-probed. 😁 I'll be in my office testing the originals. 😎

Oh, that's an easy one for me:
Hudsonsoft = BC Kid (aka Bonk's Adventure) 👍
A great platform game.

You can even just play through with the original graphics (but all in one game this time), and just pretend you have a special edition of the original. 😉

Have you tried International Karate Ultimate?
It's like Commando and Ghosts 'n Goblins Arcade are to the original. The same great game, with a ton of extra options and backgrounds to spice things up. 😮

The original International Karate is still a great game. I was amazed back then when I first played it. It was like the C64 had gone very quickly from having no good Karate Champ (arcade) clones, to Exploding Fist, to this. 😮 Them was great times. 😁

As a kid, I think I had made it up to level 3 or 4. But these days I can't even make it past the first level much of the time. So I did cheat a whole bunch, just so I could see the different creatures on each level.

I like C64 Frak. Sure, the graphics are crazy-wide in this one, so you're throwing the yo-yo off-screen a lot at stuff you can't see. As a result I think it's not as good a game as it could have been. But if I were doing it, I'm not sure I could be bothered to re-work the gfx. 😋
