I just changed my entire asset pipeline to use indexed color, which made all the old assets go bananas.
It's actually fixed as of a few minutes ago - the flat fills and soil textures are now using the same scenery palette(s), and Pili has her own unique one.
Turns out if you go a few years without doing any realistic or life drawing, your figure drawing ability goes totally to shit. Not at all like riding a bicycle.
And like, feet? Dafuq?
Still thought it would be fun to sketch Pili in a less-chibi style...

Global sky/sun colors are already in, so I'm able to use that "blend two palettes" idea to create additional variation.
The same tech can be used for everything from spell fx to npc skin tones...I'm excited!

It occurred to me I need to stop testing trees in Shultzong, which is supposed to be an arid scrubland.
So...welcome to Muschan Woods! Halfway between Dologaniy and Shandau.
I can immediately tell I'm going to need a lot of new kit for this map, besides the unfinished trees...
