@kat_brereton Q2. Four of my recent favourites.

@kat_brereton Q1. Remember this series making an impact. First proper meeting with death in a book - up until then reading was safe, characters safe. The final image is seared into my memory. Jupiter was such a menacing villain. Think @Teacherglitter is a fan (?)

@royjamesmoss The best kind of post. Some lovely texts!
I relented and picked up a few of the GN suggestions from @RuddickRichard and perhaps one of the super-est, happiest and magical forests, courtesy of @one_to_read.
@ecawemma @Miss_E_Hughes @jonnybid @justdawned @DonkinAdele @LPAcademy16 Thinking about their incredibly important Reflecting Realities work, it would be great not only to mirror the chn in the class but show them characters (especially human characters) that are from a range of backgrounds, cultures with their own unique stories, too.
@lilyteach1 @MrBoothY6 @HarperCollinsCh @_Reading_Rocks_ @TeresaCremin @MrEPrimary I’d personally go for Kitamura’s ‘Stone Age Boy’. Plenty of opportunity to explore non fiction and what life was like and compare to modern day.
Some good recommendations here too: https://t.co/RTy7ysHVgY
@one_to_read Although my first interaction with them was most formative. Smaug has left quite an indelible mark on my reading brain. #BooksNearBedtime
@one_to_read Don’t think there’s been better drawn dragons than those created by Jackie Morris. 👌🏼

@teacher_mr_r @jonnybid @sam_creighton @richreadalot @thatboycanteach @MrBoothY6 @KateHeap1 @katehitchings1 @one_to_read Cannot go wrong with any of @JosephACoelho’s work. Loved exploring these. So much variety.
@MrS_Primary @KarlDuke8 @MissC_1717 Two that immediately spring to mind. Used both with Y1/2. https://t.co/GQaqRfOwEd

@Mat_at_Brookes @MissGSmith1 @byDavidLucas @the1lshane @Teacherglitter @KSunray3 @JennaLucas81 @WatsEd @PaulWat5 @MrEPrimary I love texts that have that versatility. It means I can drop in and teach any of the year groups and see the rich variety of experience and perspective that children bring to the text. Always different things picked out at each age range.
