Ok, I think I found a workaround to using the shader to RGB node in cycles. This is huge, cause it means I can use cycles effects (better shadows etc) for stuff. Follow me if you dont wanna miss the tutorial.

Then there's another layer, the mesh is displaced out a little and a separate distortion shader (this one) is put on top. The distortion is "projected" out from an empty sitting off to the left, so it matches the cone shape of the trail.
Left facing faces masked out by normal.

The shader is just some fresnel (using front and back faces separately.) Nodes are a mess, I just slapped it together. Back plane is masked out at the end.

炎の外側の炎はFadeで半透明にしてるんですが、
さらにFadeを使っている外側のガラス越しに見ると2枚目の写真のようにガラスに対して透過されなくなってしまいます～
解決方法あらば教えていただきたいです～
