I got a stupid idea:
What if instead of retopologizing my reference sculpts, I just decimated them and rigged 'em?

The answer is: that's not good enough deformation for rendered art, but it'll certainly do for reference pictures. Which is the whole reason I'm making the sculpts.

Now I have a sculpt that can be used to help keep Jenny on model. It's not perfect. I wish I had the time, energy, and ambition to retopo, rig, and properly texture this, but as concept sketches go, it'll do what I need.

ok, people. I just attempted to project a high-detail version of a mesh onto a retopo'd/UV'd version I subdivided to be able to handle the detail, and...this happened.

メッシュを閉じたあとで計算しなおそう🙄

WAIGHT PAAAAINT PHASE...im so happy im done with retopo! it ruined my mental state.
but im past it mostly. made most of the verts in the head to make it extra detail gesture and detail wise.
full body already looks good even with the massive legs
im happy with this first try.
