5 Stars from a class of UK children.

An excellent and enticing story to use for the whole UKS2 class reading.

Thanks for writing such a fantastic book. It has been a pleasure to read this to my class (UKS2). The children really loved it!

‘Phil Earle’s writing in While the Storm Rages is beautiful & his language choices are authentic…it is an exciting historical adventure story for children in UKS2…a good book to read aloud to a class’.

have been drawing the view from their space shuttle after crashing landing somewhere in space. Some very unique planets.

Planet SOS is a great one for UKS2, plenty of scope to focus on specific environmental issues facing the planet. Amazing link to world mythology, too. Can’t wait to make a display from the text.

Any suggestions for the above ⬆️, ?

Created by & translated by David Colmer. Words and art coalesce in ‘Maia and What Matters’ to create an emotional experience that resonates long after reading. Themes around age, illness, death & life are sensitively explored. UKS2

Can you imagine finding a magical land, hidden behind a door in your home?

What would your land be like? Would it be pleasant & beautiful? Or would there be terrifying beasts to defeat?

Read Marwo and Jenna's different stories about magical worlds!

Beautifully illustrated and an area of history I didn’t know much about at all. ‘The Apartment’ would be great for UKS2/3 classrooms. Almost graphic novel feel to it.

Some wonderful choices already (I think I'll second some). These could be used in LKS2 (or even UKS2 depending on cohort/teacher)

Impossible to choose, without missing something incredibly important out. However, these would be examples I have shared with most UKS2 classes the last few years:
‘The Arrival’ by Shaun Tan
‘The Dam’ by David Almond and Levi Pinfold
‘Rhythm and Poetry’ by Karl Nova.

Apparently I couldn't hold back. Here are 4 beautiful choices for UKS2:

Q1: Start a class UKS2 graphic novel collection with these and you'll have the kids hooked on reading them pretty quickly.
