I just binged THE WAY OF THE HOUSEHUSBAND on Netflix and had such a good time! It’s a ridiculous and often hilarious takedown of the deadly serious code of the yakuza transplanted to a life of domesticity. The animation style takes a little getting used to but I loved it! #anime

I have it on good authority that you should avoid the manga and the anime. I have experienced neither myself so have no idea but I can confirm that the SABU live action film is adorable and unproblematic and will leave you with the warm fuzzies
