@atrocityraptor @digital_duck @KingRexy328 @Carnoferox @MarkWitton In the case of saurischian dinosaurs, many other archosaurs, reptiles & amphibians there are complex and highly variable air-sac systems throughout the body. "Bubble wrapping" refers to the air filled diverticula throughout birds bodies that looks like bubble wrap.
Others, such as #Clioscaphites & the strait-shelled #Bacculites, spent most of their time in deep water - as indicated by isotopes in their shells. These, like many #ammonite groups ate plankton, as indicated by clumps of plankton found in the body cavities of some #fossils.
The exhibit features over 40 pieces of original #paleoart inspired directly by the #fossils they're displayed along side, which explore the #Cretaceous Western Interior Seaway from its briny depths to the #dinosaur-patrolled beaches.
