@rumena_aktar @jonnybid @one_to_read I’d always go more leftfield in terms of choice - something they’re not expecting / know.
Possible choices could include this classic Chris Van Allsburg (surrealism, mood/atmosphere), storytelling/music (Dam), War/difference (F&F) or authentically written graphic spreads (WSAS)
@Mat_at_Brookes @RebeccaLucas @markbradleyart @GraphixBooks If you go for any manga, would highly recommend this (blurb from one of your favourite Oxford bookshops)
@Mat_at_Brookes @RebeccaLucas @markbradleyart @GraphixBooks 3/3 - final few of this evening. Sure more will come in the morning, during the reading paper. Sure I’ll be expanding my own collection once Rebecca posts :)
@Mat_at_Brookes @RebeccaLucas @markbradleyart @GraphixBooks 2/3. I’d happily argue for The Arrival’s consideration as a wordless graphic novel.
@Mat_at_Brookes @RebeccaLucas @markbradleyart @GraphixBooks 1/3 - Majority of these, Secondary.
@jodarley @smithsmm @one_to_read @debbiet99313391 @talesonmoonlane Can’t think of a direct one on making the right choice (might come to me later).
Discussion using these ⬇️ could prompt talk about choices that characters could make: 2 Steves (empathy); Ravi (anger); 2 for me… (sharing); Luna loves Art (understanding of diff. beh.)
@missvlbishop I’ve enjoyed all of these. I’d say they can attributed as L-R: 2 x suitable for children (KS2), 1 x Teen/YA, Saga is definitely for adults (!)
#LetsTalkGraphicNovels gang might have a few more suggestions.

@PaulWat5 @MrEFinch @f33lthesun @GalwayMr @smithsmm @Mat_at_Brookes @KarlDuke8 @sam_creighton @MeakerR Mole in a Black and White Hole by Tereza Sediva. Lovely contrast with the Underground, Overground.
@smerchant13 @RobCrossley4 @RuddickRichard @one_to_read @MillyMolly1987 It’s Pippa’s photo. But know it’s a text we have in common:
Think you’ll love it, Sarah! 😁
