Especially interested in texts that celebrate diversity in a myriad of ways.
Translated texts/Wordless texts welcome.

A2. My class have loved the interactivity & engagement with Fighting Fantasy books. There’s an ace example of practice on the OU website which explores how this might work. Super for cross-chat book talk. A great gateway into reading!

@senteacher_jen @OpenUni_RfP @jonnybid @one_to_read @TeresaCremin A few suggestions. Themes would need to be checked with class teachers before reading to a class / group of pupils. 1/4
@ecawemma @erinlynhamilton @SadiePhillips Yes, Armin is such a superb creator of deeply philosophical, often hard hitting (and sometimes very adult themed) texts. Have you read any of his others?
@SadiePhillips For me, sharing texts w/ challenging themes, you have to have a really good awareness of the lives of the readers in your class. Sometimes texts can open up experiences/thoughts/emotions long since buried. It’s important to create that safe space for discussion. #OURfPBookBlether
@sbanks44 @OpenUni_RfP @SadiePhillips @brassoteach I’d personally go for something where the theme is touched on, or normalised (shifting away from the traditional ‘And Tango makes Three’) which could allow a more natural discussion to flow. These are stories which focuses on love / friendship and a heartwarming message.

Almost graphic novel feel to it.

Great potential for whole school use. I can imagine displays for this from each year group - with a focus on the different effects humans are having on the environment. Lovely mythological feel to it to.

@Mat_at_Brookes @sophieinspace @Alibrarylady @nickswarb What a nice passage, a lovely link. Makes me leap straight into these foxes (Princesse CamCam, Joe Todd Stanton, Daniel Egneus and Ron Brooks).
