@AVisserFuray @jodarley @melissacreate15 @jonnybid Some nice links to these:
(with thanks to @Mat_at_Brookes and @smithsmm for introducing me to the Innocenti/Lewis collaboration).
@jodarley @AVisserFuray @melissacreate15 @jonnybid Once you’ve had a chance to speak with them, or get to know their reading preferences, perhaps some graphic novels might inspire them? @RuddickRichard’s pinned tweet has some good suggestions for Y6/7 texts.
@jodarley @AVisserFuray @melissacreate15 @jonnybid Highly recommend the suggestions here: https://t.co/lxFcmp4uJ1
As well as ‘The Apartment’ a superb information book with plenty of layers of detail.
Such a pertinent point on Art and artists, Jackie.

@Mat_at_Brookes @RuddickRichard @RebeccaLucas @sam_creighton @erinlynhamilton @smerchant13 @fella_jane Was just going to type about the connection to Barbara Gordon - when I checked the blurb! DC have published a pretty good run of late. Got these to read before, but perhaps one for you to put in the poll for next month? Have we managed a year yet?

@RebeccaLucas @librarymice @Mat_at_Brookes @JennyHolderLiv @jonnybid @RuddickRichard @PaulWat5 @sam_creighton @smerchant13 Some similarities and lots of new ones to track down. Always a superb range, Rebecca. Would be great to find a time where you can join #LetsTalkGraphicNovels. Would be so fascinating to hear your thoughts. Here are some of my upcoming arrivals:
@mrTteaching @teacher_mr_r @richreadalot @TJGriffiths @SlatteryMr @smithsmm Yes, a few published in recent years which deal with the disability / impairment sensitively and with respect. Think publishers definitely need to continue to explore this area. Especially when thinking about building empathy and understanding.
@one_to_read @EmpathyLabUK There’s so much more to picturebooks that go beyond surface level meaning. The concurrence / convergence dynamic between illustration and word are so interesting to analyse. Sometimes a single sentence or image can just stop you in your tracks.
